Sales Representative

Reporting to the Vice President of Sales & Marketing, the incumbent will be primarily responsible for developing and prospecting new corporate markets and client segments for the Riôtel hotel group (www.riotel.com), which owns three hotels on the Gaspé Peninsula (Matane, Carleton-sur-Mer and Percé). The company is experiencing strong growth and will be expanding its hotel offering toward Western Québec over the coming years.

Your responsibilities

The role involves identifying target client segments, assessing needs, traveling to present products and services, and closing agreements with clients. This position focuses on the corporate segment for the organization of Congresses, Conferences, Annual General Meetings, Trade Shows, Team Building Events, and more. With two state-of-the-art Convention Centers, our group is the undisputed leader in this field in Gaspésie. Selling Gaspésie is a great professional project. Hosting business events between sea and mountains is a compelling value proposition.

More specifically, the Sales Representative will be responsible for

  • Identifying short-, medium-, and long-term prospecting targets under the direction of the Vice President

  • Generating leads, building a 1- to 3-year events pipeline, and closing sales

  • Continuously logging all actions in the SalesForce CRM

  • Developing win-win partner relationships with all clients

  • Creating tailored sales pitches and customized presentation materials for each lead

  • Ensuring a five-star after-sales follow-up

  • Writing reports for management

  • Conducting market intelligence and capitalizing on related opportunities

  • Monitoring competitors and competitive activity

  • Working closely with other members of the Sales & Marketing team

Required profile

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • A dynamic personality

  • Motivation driven by achieving tangible and measurable results, and alignment with the company’s values

  • Comfort in a performance-driven culture and the ability to make successful cold calls

  • Strong organizational skills and rigorous follow-up practices

  • Knowledge of the industry (an asset)

  • High level of business bilingualism in French and English, both spoken and written
