Terms and Conditions

To ensure you have the best possible experience, we invite you to read our terms and conditions. They specify the terms and conditions for reservations, payment, and cancellations, as well as the rules to follow to ensure your stay is hassle-free and enjoyable.

1. At the time of booking

  • A credit card is required to guarantee the room. No payment is taken at the time of booking.

    Exceptions – Carleton Cottage and Lofts:

    • From September to June: minimum stay of 2 nights and deposit at the time of booking in the amount of the first night, excluding taxes.

    • In July and August: minimum stay of 5 nights and deposit at the time of booking in the amount of the first night, excluding taxes.

2. Upon arrival

  • A credit card, photo ID, and license plate number are required.

3. Credit card payment

  • Pre-authorization of the total amount of the stay upon arrival.

  • Upon departure, the preauthorization for the final amount, including any additional charges, will be processed.

4. Payment by debit card or cash

  • Preauthorization of the total amount of the stay on a credit card.

  • Upon departure, the preauthorization is released, and payment is made according to the chosen method.

  • If the customer refuses preauthorization, the full amount of the stay plus a $200 security deposit will be required, along with a photocopy of the driver’s license.

5. Minimum stay for Carleton Cottage and Lofts

  • September to June : 2 nights minimum

  • July and August : 5 nights minimum

6. Cancellation Policy

  • Direct reservations : cancellation possible until noon on the day of arrival.

  • Carleton Cottage and Lofts:

    • Cancellation 30 days or more: full refund of deposit
    • Cancellation 29 to 7 days: 50% refund of deposit
    • Cancellation less than 7 days: deposit non-refundable
  • Group Bookings: see contract or contact the person responsible for the group.

7. Non-smoking rooms

  • Our establishments are strictly non-smoking. Smoking and vaping are prohibited within nine meters of any door, air vent, or window that can be opened and connects to the hotel. Fees may be charged for non-compliance with this rule. In accordance with current regulations.

8. Check-in and check-out

  • Check-in: from 4:30 p.m.

  • Check-in: before 11 a.m.

9. Responsibility and behavior

  • Riôtel is not responsible for events beyond its control (weather, natural disasters, government restrictions, etc.).

  • Guests must respect the premises, staff, and other guests. Any disruptive behaviour may result in expulsion without refund.

10. Pets

  • Only service dogs are accepted we may ask to see official documentation proving that the pet is a certified service animal, in accordance with current regulations.

11. Data protection

  • Personal information is used solely for the purpose of managing your stay and is not shared with third parties without consent, except where legally required.
